GTM Engineering guide
What is website visitor qualification?
Website visitor qualification turns anonymous website traffic into sales signals. An identification provider matches visits to companies or people, the matches are enriched and scored against your ideal customer profile, and qualified accounts appear in your CRM with an alert to the right rep. It surfaces buyers who are researching you but have not filled in a form.

Why qualify website visitors?
Most visitors to a B2B website never fill in a form. A visit to your pricing page or a product page is still a buying signal, and by the time a prospect reaches out, competitors may already have made contact. Visitor qualification makes those signals visible to sales while they are still fresh.
The goal is not a list of every visitor. It is a short, qualified stream of accounts that match your ICP and show real interest, delivered where reps already work.
How does website visitor identification work?
An identification provider, such as RB2B, runs a script on your site and matches visits to companies, and in some cases to individual people, using its own data sources. The provider returns the match; your workflow decides what happens next.
Identification has limits. Match rates depend on the provider and on the data available for each visitor, so no tool identifies every visitor. Plan the workflow around the matches you do get, and judge it on the quality of the accounts it surfaces rather than on raw volume.
How do you set up website visitor qualification?
Step 01
Connect an identification provider
Install one supported provider on your website and confirm it returns company or contact matches for real traffic.
Step 02
Match visits to your CRM
Check each identified account against existing CRM records, so known accounts are updated rather than duplicated.
Step 03
Enrich the matched accounts
Add the company and contact data sales needs to judge fit, such as size, industry, and relevant roles.
Step 04
Qualify with one model
Score each account against your ICP and the pages visited. Keep one clear qualification model so reps trust the alerts.
Step 05
Trigger the CRM action and alert
Create or update the CRM record, assign the owner, and send the rep an alert with the context: who visited, which pages, and why the account qualifies.
Who is website visitor qualification for?
It works best for B2B teams with relevant website traffic and someone ready to follow up on qualified signals. If no one acts on the alerts, the workflow produces data but not pipeline.
Can TC9 set it up for you?
Yes. Website Visitor Qualification is one of the three packages in the GTM Launch Sprint ($6,500, fixed scope, delivered 30 days after readiness is verified). Connect your visitor-identification provider, enrich and qualify matched accounts, and surface relevant activity in your CRM with a sales alert.
- One website and one supported identification provider.
- One qualification model.
- CRM matching and duplicate handling.
- A defined sales handoff and notification.
Identification depends on the provider and available data. This package does not identify every visitor or include managed outreach.
Questions, answered.
Can you identify every website visitor?
No. Identification depends on the provider and the data available for each visit, so only part of your traffic will be matched. A good workflow focuses on qualifying and acting on the matches you do get.
Is website visitor qualification the same as intent data?
It is one kind of intent signal: first-party, from your own website. Other signals include job changes, new hires, funding rounds, and content engagement. A GTM Engine can combine several of them.
What should happen when a qualified account visits?
The account should be created or updated in the CRM with an owner, and the rep should get an alert with context, such as the pages visited and why the account fits your ICP.
Does TC9's package include outreach to identified visitors?
No. The package surfaces qualified accounts in your CRM with a sales alert. Managed outreach is outside its scope; your team follows up.
